Hugh Lim, 1939 - 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hugh Edwin Lim (Ajax, Ontario), who passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 85.

Hugh Lim was a pillar of the motorcycling community, from his years as a competitor, to his later years working behind the scenes as a CMA Life Member and long time member of the CMA Board of Directors. Hugh also served as the CMA President from 2021 to 2023, and enriched us all with his expertise and dedication to the sport. He led with integrity, strong values, and a genuine passion for helping others.

In 1973, Hugh was awarded a silver medal for his excellent performance at the ISDE.

Though Hugh may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Hugh touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax, ON L1T1Z7).

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the McEachnie Funeral Home Chapel (28 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax, ON L1T1Z7).

A burial will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens (1757 Church St N, Ajax, ON L1T4R3).
