On the occasion of the 71st Annual General Meeting, held January 14th in Hamilton, ON, the yearly awards were announced by Vice President Holly Ralph.
AWARD OF MERIT – JOHN PINEO This honour was announced at the 2015 AGM but the actual presentation took place today as John missed the 2016 meeting due to injuries received in a serious accident in Portugal in September of that year.
GOLD MEDAL – ISDE Lucien Caggiano intended to be present but due to illness couldn’t make it. Florence Berard accepted on his behalf.
NATIONAL / PROVINCIAL TRIALS CHAMPIONS 2017 Rob Smithurst and Dave Cordy were acknowledged for their successes.
BERT IRWIN MEMORIAL ISDE AWARD
Tyler Medaglia of Brookfield, NS, making his debut at the ISDE, won a Gold Medal, had the fastest overall time and was the highest placed finisher on the Canadian Team.
His very impressive performance included a 3rd place in his club class on Day 4, a 5th in his club class on Day 5, and he won his class on the 6th and final day.
WHITE MEMORIAL TROPHY
At just 12 years of age, Torin Collins of Calgary, AB has captured the honours for best performance in winning a CMA championship.
Placing first in the Mini Roadracing Spec Supersport class at all 5 rounds in the series, he also is the FIM North America Spec Supersport Champion.

GOLD MEDAL – MEDAILLE D’OR – ISDE Lucien Caggiano devait être présent mais était absent à cause de maladie. Florence Bérard l’a donc acceptée en son nom.

PRIX BERT IRWIN MEMORIAL ISDE
Tyler Medaglia de Brookfield, Nouvelle Ecosse, faisant ses débuts au ISDE, a gagné la médaille d’or, avait le temps le plus rapide overall, et s’était placé à la plus haute position de l’équipe canadienne.
Sa très impressionnante performance incluait une 3ème place dans sa classe club lors de la 4ème journée, une 5ème place dans sa classe club la 5ème journée, et a gagné sa classe la 6ème et dernière journée.
TROPHEE WHITE MEMORIAL
Agé de 12 ans seulement, Torin Collins de Calgary, Alberta a capturé les honneurs pour la meilleure performance en gagnant le championnat CMA.
Il s’est classé premier dans toutes les 5 rondes des séries dans la classe Mini Roadracing Spec Supersport. Il est aussi le champion Nord America Spec Supersport FIM.
