Cascade Imports Appoints Dan Farago as Ontario Montesa Brand Ambassador for 2026 Grassroots pilot initiative leverages international leadership and decades of trials experience to strengthen Montesa presence in Ontario

Toronto, ON — [January 6/2026] — Cascade Imports, Canada’s importer of Montesa and Scorpa trials motorcycles, has announced the appointment of Dan Farago as Ontario Brand Ambassador for Montesa under a newly signed pilot agreement for the 2026 trials season.

The initiative is designed to strengthen Montesa’s grassroots presence in Ontario through rider-led engagement, event participation, and authentic brand advocacy — an approach widely recognized as essential within the specialized world of observed motorcycle trials.

Farago brings more than five decades of experience in the sport, having entered his first trials event in 1974. Over the years, he has earned multiple Canadian Motorcycle Association Championship titles across age-based classes and has received CMA Awards of Merit for his role in organizing and supporting Canadian Championships in Ontario. He remains an active competitor today.

In addition to his competitive achievements, Farago served for nearly a decade as Team Manager for Canada’s Trials des Nations team, representing Canada on the international stage at the annual world championship event held in Europe and attended by more than twenty nations worldwide. In that role, he was responsible for rider participation, logistics, team coordination, and international liaison — providing extensive experience in high-level team management and international competition.

Farago also has a long-standing relationship with the Montesa brand. For the past 25 years, he and his wife Jean have supported the Montesa / Repsol World Championship Trials Team whenever the series has visited North America, working closely with riders, engineers, mechanics, and team management in a professional hospitality and logistical support capacity.

“This initiative reflects how trials motorcycles are truly supported and sold — through trust, experience, and presence within the community,” said Farago. “I’m excited to work with Cascade Imports to help bolster Montesa’s visibility and momentum in Ontario through direct rider engagement.”

Cascade Imports Principal Don Doerksen said the agreement represents a strategic return to grassroots engagement in a key market.

“Ontario is a significant trials market in Canada, and Dan’s depth of experience — from national championships to international team leadership — is exceptional,” said Doerksen. “This pilot allows us to reconnect the Montesa brand with the riders who understand and value what these motorcycles represent.”

As part of the agreement, Farago will represent Montesa at trials events, local practice areas, and early-season riding opportunities throughout Ontario during the 2026 season. The program will also generate direct rider and market feedback to inform future product positioning and sales strategy.

The initiative officially launches at the Toronto Motorcycle Supershow, taking place January 9, 10, and 11 at the Toronto International Centre, where a Montesa Repsol 301 RR will be displayed as part of Cascade Imports’ renewed focus on brand visibility in Canada.
